This will be our first real winter low pressure system for southern NSW and the ACT. The various models have been in argument for the past couple days as to the exact position of the low, temperate in the mids and lower levels, and also the amount of moisture available.

ACCESS has now started to agree with GFS in terms of positioning and moisture. I even like that now on Sat morning there's a nice tongue of cold air at the 850mb level over the ACT, along with ample moisture to perhaps give the local mountains some snow:

I might tea dup to Mt.Ginini on sat morning and see if i can get some wet snow: )
